About AMRTTraining.com

    Who runs this site?

AMRTTraining.com is built and maintained by working restoration professionals from an IICRC Certified Firm in South Carolina. We publish under the organization's name rather than an individual byline, because the material is written, edited and corrected by the same crew that runs mold and water damage jobs week to week.

The site exists because the AMRT class moves fast and the exam is closed-book. Technicians finish four days of instruction and then sit a test on containment, Conditions 1 through 3, engineering controls, PPE and post-remediation verification with no way to drill any of it. This site is that drill: practice questions, flashcards, study modules and the field calculators we use on real jobs. If you still need the WRT prerequisite, our sister site WRTTraining.com covers that exam.

How is the content written and checked?

Every question, definition and study module is written against the ANSI/IICRC S520 Standard for Professional Mold Remediation. When a topic is defined in the S520 — Condition 1, 2 and 3, containment types, source removal, the role of the indoor environmental professional, post-remediation verification — the standard is what we follow, not a summary of it.

Where a fact belongs to an outside body rather than the standard — IICRC exam fees and renewal terms, state license hours in Texas, Florida, New York, Louisiana or DC, course tuition — we point you at the agency's own page instead of quoting a number that may have changed. Rules change quietly, and a confident wrong number is worse than a link. We do not publish pass rates, review counts, student totals or salary figures we cannot substantiate, and we do not use invented names or stock author photos.

Practice questions are written to mirror the reasoning the exam asks for, not to reproduce it. We have no access to the live IICRC item bank, and anyone selling you "real exam answers" is selling you a problem.

How do I report an error?

Email us at support@amrttraining.com with the page address and what looks wrong. If you can cite the S520 section or the agency page that contradicts us, even better — corrections go out fast, and the "Last updated" date on the page changes when they do.

    How do I contact you?

One address for everything — corrections, billing, cancellations and questions about the material: support@amrttraining.com. Membership questions are answered on the pricing page and the FAQ. Our terms of service and privacy policy cover billing and account data.

Are you affiliated with the IICRC?

AMRTTraining.com is an independent study resource. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC), and does not issue certifications. IICRC, AMRT, WRT, ASD, S500 and S520 are names and designations belonging to the IICRC and are used here only to identify the certifications and standards they refer to. You earn the certification by taking the class and exam through an IICRC school — you can find upcoming sessions in our class directory or on the IICRC's own calendar. This site is independent study material for that exam, and the ANSI/IICRC S520 should be purchased from the IICRC for the complete text.
